Care Guide
At WITHIN, we design pieces meant to last through your journey of transformation. To ensure your items stay beautiful and comfortable for years to come, please follow these care instructions.
1. KNITWEAR & SWEATERS
Our knits are designed for softness and comfort. To maintain their shape and texture:
- Wash Gently: We recommend hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent. If you must use a machine, use a mesh laundry bag and select the "Delicate" or "Wool" cycle.
- Dry Flat: Never wring or twist the fabric. Lay the item flat on a clean towel to dry. Hanging wet knits can cause them to stretch and lose their shape.
- Storage: Fold your sweaters instead of hanging them. Heavy knits can stretch out on hangers over time.
- Pilling: It is normal for soft wool or blends to pill (form small fuzzballs) over time. Use a fabric shaver or a cashmere comb to gently remove them.
2. CAPS & HEADWEAR
To keep the structure and fabric of your caps (Corduroy, Denim, etc.) in perfect condition:
- Spot Clean Only: We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do Not Machine Wash: Avoid putting caps in the washing machine or dryer, as this can ruin the brim's shape and damage the fabric.
- Air Dry: Let your cap air dry naturally away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Lint Removal: Use a lint roller to remove dust or hair, especially on corduroy fabrics.
3. JEWELRY CARE
Your jewelry is delicate and deserves special attention to keep its shine:
- The "Last On, First Off" Rule: Put your jewelry on after you have applied makeup, perfume, and hairspray. Chemicals in these products can tarnish the metal. Take it off first when you get home.
- Keep it Dry: Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or exercising.
- Storage: Store pieces individually in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching and tangling.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth (microfiber is best) to remove oils and restore shine.
4. GENERAL TIPS
- Read the Label: Always check the specific care tag attached to the garment for the most accurate instructions.
- Steam, Don't Iron: For delicate fabrics, steaming is safer than ironing to remove wrinkles without crushing the fibers.
